I'm wondering about the recent positioning in the gene therapy space by Axovant - given the sudden deals with Oxford Biomedics and Benitec, and poaching from Spark.
Panno's leaning toward benitec off loading non oncology assets, suiting Nant.
Another possibility though is that benitec and OxB eventually form a pre clinical feed stock into a growing Axovant gene therapy commercialisation company.
Either way, it appears the gene therapy Co's OxB and benitec have arrived at the inflection point their 'simpler tech' cousins such as Ionis and Alnylam fittingly reached 5 years ago.
