I bought WBT and 4DS at the same time too, having also looked at BRN at the time. Eventually liked the 4DS tech better, and completely sold out of WBT having made 40% but missing out on the run to $9 - but could not understand the high valuation.
With 4DS, I sold a portion at 21 cents to be free carried; pocketed some more cash around 9 cents but kept a small stake to help me keep an eye on it. Felt disappointed but happy to have de-risked when PL3 failed. Bought back in after they "repaired" PL3 for 4.8 cents, I think.
Now it seems they're virtually guaranteed to reach the predestined outcome for Western Digital from 11 years ago - who would be first on the list of potential acquirers, and there will be plenty of others
