re: info for the faithful only - baraka - hardmano
Hi H,
I agree. They have certainly looked after themselves!! Apologies for the confusion regarding the blocks. Just to clear things up, Hardman's interests are :
Block 1 - 18.0% Block 2 - 28.8 %
The Heron lead lies 60% in block 20 with the remaining 40% in HDR's JV Block 2.
Regarding our short lived onshore acreage in Mauritania. This is out of the 2001 annual.
Mauritania Onshore Block 12 Joint Venture.
Earlier in the year Hardman entered into an Agreement with Brimax Petroleum International Ltd ("Brimax") to earn 50% working interest in Block 12 onshore Mauritania which is held as an Exploration Study Agreement ("ESA"). Block 12 covers an area of approximately 20,000 square kilometres and is situated over the onshore extension of the Coastal Basin adjacent to offshore Blocks 1 and 2. Following detailed mapping of the existing seismic data in both the onshore and offshore zone along the coast, Hardman has decided to withdraw from the Block 12 Joint Venture. The onshore area contained only a thinning sequence of the prospective Tertiary and Mesozoic sediments. All of the structures identified were highly faulted, and therefore considered to be very high risk plays.
Cheers, xmagx
