would be good if we could find out details behind "very close to making deal with steel mill" and hanlongs bid arriving just before to styme.

Im giving the benefit of doubt to mngt that they tried everything in their power to go with the SOE deal but were ambushed by the hanlong bid and had to declare it to shareholders. Once it became official SOE stepped out of the picture and that "very close deal" evaporated.

kinda validates Westcotts report that hanlong threw anything on the table just to fend of a rival bid, just to invoke the "chinese COs wont compete against each other" rule.
