Contrary to what a lot of people have been saying, the brines ARE NOT the answer for high grade LCE, and the information I am receiving from the young uni student that can read and write Chinese, has become invaluable.
Because of constant down ramping by some this information tends to get lost, but the more he finds our the more I want to not only hold but buy more stock if I had the cash to do so. Plus I was looking at a very nice model S Tesla this afternoon, cost $A165k for the 500km+ battery.
Anyway before my wife decides to sell my shares and buy one, some VERY important information.
Ganfeng has also said that from brine to LCE, the main cost is refining. (So refining accounts for the largest porpotions of the costs."
This is from Ganfeng on their brines. It totally refutes the information given by a poster earlier today that stated it would only cost 10%. This is from Ganfeng themselves!!
" Brine has different kinds of contaminants, and these contaminants level varies from pools to pools. Therefore the methods for each suitability of those have to be invented and improved individually."
There is no consistency in the brines and that is a huge problem, whereas with spodumene they get a consistent product.
Then this....
"I understand that you may want some numbers, unfortunately I am not able to find any. But to think in another logical perspective, I’ve told you how every single one of those converters are only investing more and more to expand their capacity. It only suggests one thing, that hard rock is the ultimate choice when it comes to LCE"
It is the spodumene converters expanding, NOT the brines, plain and simple.
WE have the largest new spodumene project on the planet. We are worth way more than any others and the cashflow in a few years will prove it. MacQ bank and all the others that believe there is plenty of lithium because the brines actually don't know what they are talking about. It is clearly going to be spodumene that gets used for high grade batteries, what ALL the EV manufacturers will NEED.
"To support our views about how brine players would be dumb to ramp up their production of LCE, since potassium price is falling, Tianqi’s Chairman has said similar things. He also said for that reason alone, brine does not gain any advantage from spodumene."
OK any more proof needed? Potassium prices are killing any attempt for more brine production from one of the large players. Remember that SQM also get their lithium from a high potassium salar, and they are the largest brine producer in the world.
GAME, SET and MATCH to spodumene over the brines.
This means that PLS is worth far more than lots of uninformed, or deliberately lying people have been saying.
They will be lining up to get our product over the next few years, and the MacQ bank report thinking we will be stuck at only 2Mt/a, is just deliberately downramping our company. Why??
They and or someone working with them want your shares and my shares, and they simply are not going to get MINE.
We are an outstanding buy at this price IMO!! AND we are probably going to have to fight hard to keep our resource as many will have their eyes on it!!
