At Harts Range we have a number of different prospective areas for U-discovery. There can be found U-mineralisation of Yambla, Moondyne, Garnet and Pegmatite-Typ (SNAF and Kelly-prospects). Two pegmatite-zones are unexplored and have a strike length of 6,3 km (50 m wide) and 2 km (63 m wide).
Newera Uranium is another company that owns a tenement at Harts Range (Quartz Hill in the east).
On 13 November last year they announced results from survey and rock chip sampling: At Quartz Hill there are large pegmatites that can contain significant uranium within rare earth. Pegmatites have dimensions ranging up to several 100 metres large and over 100 metres wide. Some have been exposed by historical working for mica.
Samples show grades up to 0,04% U. This kind of mineralisation can be compared with Rossing/Namibia (0,035%) and is significant if found in volume.
Extraction and processing of REE is under feasibility study by Arufa Resources at Nolans Bore deposit 230 km west of Quartz Hill. REE may be a valuable by-product in any future production-scenario.
But now back to Hale River. Remember what John Young said in April regarding drilling of priority targets at Hale River (which is underway now). Some of those targets have all the ingredients for a discovery!
