Hydrogen will play a crucial role particularly replacing coal in the making of steel but for car transport electric cars will rule. Its not hard to see why. Electric charging stations will replace petrol stations probably at the same location. As every petrol already has electricity connection its just a matter of installing the charging stations. To convert petrol stations to hydrogen well first you would install a hydrogen tank in every station and then build a fleet of hydrogen tankers to deliver the hydrogen. Earlier I posted a vid of Sandy Munroe talking about hydrogen disks which released the hydrogen with a laser. That might have some potential to challenge electric. But the world is gearing up for electric.
