    re: a similar story Moo, good research, but don't you get the feeling the prof and that other report are just voices in the wilderness?

    With Macquarie taking its' strategy to the world, educating govts in how to turn boring infrastructure assets into cash to balance budgets/get themselves re-elected, the sector has a long way to run. Babcok & B are now into it too.

    In Canada the opposition (when it got elected to govt) didn't like the 'deal' the previous govt had done on the 407 and has been seeking retribution through the courts, so far without success.

    Seems it is a bit like buying Telstra shares in a float - I thought we already owned them? Isn't the govt "me"?

    Anyway the infrastructure model aint gonna come to an end anytime soon. In fact it has a long, long way to run, tax breaks, more fund borrowings and so on. Big super funds love them
