''What about liabilities?
Mum or Dad die owing money.
Shous the "inheritors" be responsible?''
YES at least the estate is responsible ------------- debts should come out of the estate --------- which of course, in most places - they do.
if there is a deficit at the end of clearing the estate - I don't believe the family etc should bear any responsibility there - then, it's tough luck for the unpaid creditors - they were the ones who wrote the agreements, not the family
This concentration of wealth is a dreadful thing.
Imagine in the stone age if a man has a cave as a domicile. Then, the man claims 4 or 5 caves next to him as 'his property' --------because no one else was there - so it's 'his territory'
then, he dies and his son inherits the 5 caves --------- then during his lifetime - he claims all of the caves in the area
and there are NO caves for anyone else
but, still of course - he can only live in one cave at any one time -
does this sound like a good idea???????
it sounds like a dreadful idea -------------- yet, this is what we have now in society
we can allow this atrocity to go to it's usual conclusion - which is that the people with no caves - go and just kill the son or sons and kill all his babies - and just take the caves that they need ------------- or
we can devise a system where the 'wealth' is redistributed to all
tis not a very mentally stretching choice here in reality
