Just wanted to do some numbers and see what is going on with the initial stocking order for Angry Birds  .
Just how many Yowies are needed to be made and what is the distribution delay to get them into warehouses so they are on the shelves for the movie release? 2-3 weeks?

How many days of production Angry Bird  Yowies do they need to do the initial stocking order ?
What is the proposed distribution channel for Angry Birds ?  Walmart , 7/11 , walgreens , valero or all stores?
How big was their contingency of existing stock and do they have foil etc to do some shifts on hand ?



IMO  1 wrapper is caught up at Whetstones along with spare parts , boxes, foils cartons possibly molds etc etc and YOW have had to lodge a $900,000 bond via bond company.  Whetstone lodged a stay order and $560,000 which I think means the initial replevin order to allow removal can not be actioned .  Will Whetstone possibly be liable for any delays caused and financial loss depending on ultimately who was in breach of contract etc etc?   YOW in accounts put in a $50k contingency of costs in December but not sure if that is legal or the move costs or loss commissioning costs of new imported machine?

The other wrapper was on it's way from Germany and was subject to customs clearances but don't know if it ever arrived.  Assume it did but don't know what date.
They needed the team from Germany to install and  commission it but it had been pre-commissioned and tested before export.  They had been booked.
We don't know if their initial schedule released to ASX was assuming the wrapper from Whetstone or if it was the one  being imported?.
Schedule was to have line commissioned up and running  manufacturing on 10 April and full production testing complete by end of April.  There would be 30-60 days of possible lower production depending on just how it goes but they should have most bugs sorted now they have had a years production knowledge.

So best case is they have the line operational and 1 new wrapper out of customs , installed and operational so have a daily wrapping capacity of  50000 a working day per shift.  I am unsure what real production capacity the machine at Whetsones ever reached?

New foils
New Angry bird boxes
In store "ÿurts"and displays?
outer cartons  etc
Certifications , nut free, Kosher etc on line


I think they can just do it if they don't have a stuff up but it is tight ?

Have they done deals to get them into other countries or is it USA only?   Have they allowed for  parallel export opportunities  to other countries for unofficial release like to Aussie confectionery and it is the sort of product tin Japan that will go nuts for? I think that would probably break agreement .  Will we ever see the new capsule or them for the Aussie release - probably only private import ?

Japan 1st October -  Hell I hope they are talking to get them into Japan ??????  Not a  easy market to enter but could be massive overnight and has scale to justify the effort .
