I think despite what Gillard said, if they do get into power again Labor will still make every effort to distance themselves severely from Rudd.

He won't get on the front bench again, he'll sit in the back bench until he grows tired of that job because he's not in the limelight.

We all saw how keen he was to get on stage at the climate change summits - being a control freak, the last thing he'll want to do is take a back seat while others are making decisions he doesn't agree with.

I give him 6 months tops after the next election before he announces a change of career.
