While still on subject , have done tests with bacteria and rather than get patented bugs and paying a royalty on production we grew our own using sulphides from RC drilling samples . Yes it was successful ,we even got costs down thru temp adjustment, once bred up to right numbers can stay dormant for up to 7yrs. Thats why I question any value to licencing rights.
