This might be a bit of a tangent but I was thinking about how much of an advance the trophon EPR has made over traditional processes to decontaminate probes - wiping, soaking chemicals etc which can take longer, be less effective and often exposes users to harmful chemicals.
At the moment though, the technology is only being used to sterilise one specific group of medical instruments. I would be interested in future reports from the company in terms of what they are focusing future R&D on in this space.

While I am not saying that NAN's technology could be adapted and scaled to work in these situations (at least not without some big R&D investment), it just goes to show that while there have been some great advances in medicine, the market for decontamination is still very archaic and ripe for disruption.
