The lower the pressure (closer to vacuum) in the condenser of the steam turbine the greater the power output.
So a low temperature is desirable in the condenser.
Idealy the primary circuit (cct) water would be cooled to the same temperature as the condensate in the secondary cct (maximum heat transfer).
If you think about it in simpler terms, heat is what we are harvesting, so the greater temperature difference across our heat exchanger the greater the value to the company.
