Russia, led by a mafia thug, invaded a neighbouring country as part of a primitive land grab. Most major western countries, including the USA, have sent military aid to Ukraine and enforced boycotts because it is the right thing to do.

Given that Nth Korea is supplying arms to Russia means according to your logic that they are also involved in a proxy war.
