Ukraine is at an interesting point in history it seems -

Russia should have been more respected as an enemy - because there are a lot of signs that it's winning atm. The pope seems to get it.

It's always difficult to stop wars (unfortunately easy to start them)

so, if Ukraine and Russia entered negotiations now - as usual, negotiations are all about what you are prepared to give up

well, when the war ends - and it will end ----------- what will happen is there will be an exchange of territory ------- and lots of politics

but, the cost - thousands of lives shattered - as per usual. Massive amounts of property destruction, as per usual. And, massive profits to the arms industries - as per usual.

That Russia has hung on and now seems to be winning - with all the might of arms supplies and expertise from most of Europe, America and some tiddlers like Australia -

suggests that Russia was underestimated by most - and even though they had some major disasters

Gaza also ----- just pain, blood, tragedy ------- and for what? --------- Israel seeking a 'global safe haven' ------------- got news ------------ it's never going to be safe, nor a haven.

Even if they killed all the bad guys - who were created by the abuse of Palestine for decades-

there is now far MORE hatred to Jews and Israelis than ever since WW2 - the Jewish sympathy honeymoon post WW2 is finished -------- and, it's never coming back.
