Well if BIT can't find a partner then they really only have the choice of dropping it (I am sure it will be much better worded than that) or forking out the money to run another trial that will attract a pharma partner.
I know what I would do if I was in MM position and I had no pharma partner after nearly a year of trying. I would organise a expert's meeting and get them to tell me what to do - sorry shareholders the experts told us we should drop BIT and focus on the HBV program.
On the experts meeting doesn't anyone find the whole thing strange? Haven't BIT been talking to experts all these years? Are they not supposed to be the experts on BIT225? Why organise a meeting now?
