insider trading????? Thanks, but I'm not asking because I was thinking of doing it. As you probably know, insiders, such as executives, ceo's etc can trade their own stock at certain times. Was reading an american Article the other day and it spoke about identifying the buying patterns of insiders of companies, trading during those times when the information was available to the market. Even thought all the neccessary information was available to the market, insiders may have a better ideas as to the success of for example, a new project. The sentiment surrounding it may reflect in their buying and selling patterns. Does this occur in Australia? Are our regulations too strict to enable this to happen? Please read what I have written, I'm not asking how to inside trade.
    Thanks
