    I recall hearing an interviewee on the US Nightly Business Report (broadcast here on SBS TV) referring to the trading activities of insiders (and yes it was distinct from insider trading); he used sharp increases in overall buying or selling by insiders of, say, tech stocks as a bullish or bearish signal for that segment of the market. Can't recall who it was for certain, Frank Cochrane perhaps (the Volume Reversal bloke?). I'll check the nbr.com website when I have time.

    It seems all trading by insiders has to be notified in the US, here only directors have to make their activities public.
