It's a fair call, although also as an investor (irrespective of role or board position in the company) you are at the mercy of the markets, not of your sole capabilities. As such, when you've put $150k of your own money in you do need to draw a line somewhere. Any director putting all their money on their company is probvably one to avoid, just as much as a director putting nothing into their company.
