Anyone keen to explain what this means geologically?

I remember posters saying that water should be on both sides of a fault, and not just one, so how was it water wet?

means it wet with water
not gas
check OldGeo from the PRM threads he explains it in I think his first post there
it means the seismic was giving the wrong readings due to wet sands not gas sands
