Peppermint Innovation (ASX: PIL) is making strides in the digital payments space with its Electronic Money Issuer (EMI) licence and InstaPay integration in the Philippines. The EMI licence allows Peppermint to legally provide e-wallet services and digital banking through its Bizmoto platform, targeting the country’s large unbanked population.
Additionally, Peppermint has secured direct membership with the Philippines Payments Management Inc (PPMI), enabling access to PESONet and InstaPay, two major automated clearing houses. This move is expected to enhance transaction efficiency and improve revenue margins, as Peppermint previously relied on third-party providers for these services
