I have consistently argued against a consolidation and my view hasn't changed.
The market cap always seems to go down after consolidation albeit in some cases only temporarily, but some of us need to sell a few shares to pay the bills and can't always wait for the price to go up. It has been used in the past by some who want to grab more shares cheaply, but I don't believe that comes into it in this case.
If the Americans are unable to look at market cap to decide on an investment then that's their problem.
We may not be too far away from the day when the FAR SP is close to $1 anyway.
