Personally I don’t like consolidations, most - as you say end up with further CR’s down the track and end up back at square 1.
However, SIR did a consolidation 10 for 1 and went to around 30c then over the following year dropped back to around 5c before a meteoric rise to $5 over approx. the next 9 months - this is the 1 & only time I have seen it to be successful & even then it looked to be doomed for a long time initially
