Sounds like AKA may have done you a favour. I have always thought that these sort of products are not for retail investors. Many dont fully understand the risks, indeed events like Opus Prime collapse demonstrated that even many sophisticated investors didnt realise what they were buying into.
Not only that but these products often have stock lending arrangements attached and that to me seems counter productive.
