A lot of arguments here were written about the safety of the Lynas Advanced Material Plant (LAMP) in Malaysia.
Looking at the risks of such a plant
- accidents
- pollution
- toxic emissions
- damage to humans and land
etc.
raises the question, who insures these risks? Every company needs insurances for its operations. Until now I have not heard or read anything about that issue. Just about a fund that is suppose to cover health damages and clean up after operations.
Who are the insurance companies that Lynas contracted?
What exactly are they insuring?
How high are the costs of this insurance?
Can somebody help me?
