They must feel very threatened to do this, and then twist the results to their favour. For me the most telling part of their report is how the stiff BTM structure results in a less pliant healing result. Anyone who has spent even 5 mins researching BTM knows that the membrane dissolves away after the job is done. For them to be correct and honest about this, they must have compared the results before the wound healing was complete and the BTM dissolved. This would mean they were “cherry picking” a timeline to compare the two products in order to gain the most favourable results for themselves. No doubt they will now include this study in their marketing material in the hope of persuading those surgeons not up to speed with BTM to chose the Integra product instead.
