She already left Intel.. i doubt they then implanated her in to do the deal/trade.. the terms of the consultancy seemed far more 'future' looking when announced in June. It definitely was not planned to be this short term - something went wrong but as people mentioned yesterday we have to put it to rest and assume what you want to assume: either a harmless change of business interests that resulted in it being untenable, or for more sinister reasons. Whatever your conclusion is though, I am pretty sure intel did not subtly implant her into Xped. If not she would have come across straight from Intel directly.
