-The theft / loss prevention is probably the number one priority and distinguishes between quality and junk tech. The loss on current systems with shoppers registering avocados as potatoes etc - is phenomenal.
-Customer friction will win people over. For example you can't go to the deli section without $SBW. The Edgify tech is really powerful. As Amazon Go solution has shown pricing fruit/veg on a per item basis means loss of income (larger objects charged less) or much worse incredible food waste due to the need to have highly consistent food weights. Its impractical at scale.
