We are special because we can ask the question, no other living creature can. Don't mention the rest of the universe in that regard because we simply do not know and from a scientific point of view it cannot be considered, there is no evidence. We have to go with what we have.

As I have said in the past here, if you consider the evidence of the experience of mankind over many thousand of years, mankind has always believed that he lives beyond death in some way. It is only in the last 200-300 years that some have begun to doubt that. Of course it is our soul (made in the image of our immortal God) that lives on until we rise in our transformed bodies.

Either over thousands of years mankind has been completely wrong and only modern (proud) man right, or it is still the case.

Christ rose from the dead and confirmed the history of man, there is an after life.
