IB API is designed to allow order entry/execution through 3rd party systems or excel. I don't want to do that.
All I want to do is link real time prices to an excel spreadsheet. With that I can automate my calculations/spreads in real time and decide whether to trade or not based on the spread.
I believe that IB DDE (the easiest solution) does not work on Apple Mac. I also read that API needs 32 bit TWS, not 64, and IB do not have a 32 bit version of TWS for Mac.
As I pay for real time prices on IB I don't really want to pay another provider for them as well.
Any thoughts?
