    Alternatively, what if this is an exercise to flush out the last of the sellers before taking it for a big run....OR its a particular seller thats been frustrating the buyers for a while and his hand is being forced..."sell at these prices and bugger off or cancel the selling"....OR...a third party, say a bank, is interested in making a bid and wants the 30 day moving average to stay low so that when he bids he can claim a 30-40% premium to the 30 day average and tell shareholders what a good deal it is.

    All of those reasons are fairly far fetched, of course, but I think the reason will be very obvious when it becomes clear.

    Not withstanding the current price, I do think that the company is fundamentally cheap and has alot strategic importance in the banking world. It clearly has a plan (which keeps on being mucked around with by the ABA et al), it has ambition and it has qualified management (to get the job done at least, even if they are crap at articulating it to the market!!)
