Interest in Western Australian (WA) gold and other mining companies is likely to be high at the 2008 Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada congress. The annual event presents an opportunity for the groups to get in touch with investors that show a better appreciation of the sector. Many WA firms are pursuing a listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange, including Monarch Gold Mining and Azure Minerals. Already traded on the exchange are Western Areas, Moly Mines, Anvil Mining, Dioro Exploration and Equinox Minerals. A series of these Canadian floats have been managed by Prime Corporate Finance
