Conversely I don't believe that sharemarkets can continue to rise ad infinitum without a significant correction at some point, last December being the point taken.
I've always taken a contrarian view to the doomsayers and yes have done very well since they started with predictions of another 2008 type crash. But even for me the markets are getting a bit ahead of themselves when by their own admission forward guidance is setting up to be weak in the coming years whilst global economies stagnate.
I suppose the US next week will be the canary in the mine, lets see what profits they announce in the reporting season.
