    yes, I agree with that


    however, I believe that residential housing in Australia has needed major legislative changes to control it

    and, it's a sacrosanct area - an area where political parties fear to thread now - like taking the bone away from vicious dog


    this is mostly the results of people like the Howards of the world - where they put out these very stupid policies - which are almost impossible to reel back in - even as they are turning the place to ash

    it's the same as his elevated baby bonus - put in place to merely buy a few Labor young persons votes - to shore up his election risk one year

    that decision took years and years for governments to unwind


    then, when we look at residential housing - how in the name of god can one wind back this stupidity - which has been built up since the 1960's - where after nothing prior - dinner table conversations began to revolve around residential real estate prices

    yes, the reserve bank gets the timing and rates wrong ----------- more often than not

    but, in the end ----- this is a national problem - and, god knows how one can fix it now without a total collapse
