    I know what you're saying but I would like to live in a world where individuals are responsible for themselves.
    Not one where McDonalds have to tell you that your coffee is going to be hot and banks not to borrow more than you can afford.

    Why must we act as though everyone is stupid?
    Do we really need to protect them from themselves? They can't do it?

    If the population didn't borrow the money in the first place we would have no need to blame the banks for giving us what we wanted now...would we?

    No one seems to be blaming the cafes for selling the evil, deposit stealing, smashed avocado.... that one is squarely on the consumer...

    Sorry, I'm off topic.

    But seriously. People need to take responsibility for themselves.
    It's fair to say I am a property bull.
    But will I borrow as much as the banks will lend me?
    No.
    And for what it's worth, last time I checked their serviceability calc was pretty stiff.
