    So are you saying that the interest rate that you are getting investing the proceeds of the sale of your home are exceeding it's capital growth after tax ? Is it by a small amount or a large amount ?

    Did you own your place outright or were you paying it off ?

    I'm really interested in the numbers considering that you probably should live for another 50 years on average . No one can predict the capital growth but considering that the world population is expected to expand past 2050 , It's a fair bet that there will be more pressure to the upside rather than the downside .

    That's an interesting view that there won't be anyone in the future to be able to buy your place . It's probably a separate issue to funding the rest of your life but it is interesting none the less .
