Moon I can appreciate the idea of being debt free but IMO to have solid assets ( ie property) with little debt which is easily managed has so many benefits.
Cash in the bank ATM earns stuff all and you get taxed on it.
with all due respect I suggest you seek advice from where you are able to fully disclose your situation and objectives.
Note that if Abbott has his way financial advisers need not disclose if they have an interest in their advice
