you make a valid point cc..... too many things today to spend money on. we all MUSY have the latest phone/laptop/gadget on the wrist.
its not only post ww2 boomers, its those with income exceeding the average who've been spending up. they have no need to reduce their consumption, whereas retirees have to consider how long the self-funded money will last. retirees are more abstemious than wealthy well-paid office workers.
