Kincella you are absolutely correct---i grew up with floods 19metrs,dead horses in trees,houses floating down the river,crops in power lines,i read the story of Sir Sidney Kidman the cattle baron,they talked of the channel country in Qld i always wondered when Qld would be confronted by this type of disaster,you can put out a fire but water is an entirely different matter,it brings tears to my eyes just thinking of those poor people,and the suffering they will endure now and much more when the water subsides,i can only commend the Qld Premier her strength informing the people of Qld, i certainly dont envy her position,we all better dig deep and donate----the tale of toowoomba and gatton been there ,toowoomba is just amazing no way i will ever build on the side of a hill,put me on top
