    • When robots replace workers in a factory they don't just replace those workers. Also gone is the pay clerk, the HR manager, the canteen workers, the food delivery driver, the bus driver, middle management, AND payroll and income taxes.

    • These robots are not just in factories. It started with ATM's but in recent years we see self serve in our supermarkets, McDonalds and now grocery stores where you can only use your phone to scan and buy.

    • And if it's not robots it's apps and AI spilling into the job market moving white collar jobs overseas with profits going to foreign owned entitiesThe AirBnb brigade taking cleaning jobs from staff at hotels and motels and with them the cooks, laundry and counter staff along with reduction in collected taxes. Uber drivers displacing taxi drivers with a big cut going overseas.

    • Jobs are now being trendily defined as being part of the gig economy but with it comes casualization, low wages and inflation stagnation. And try to get a home loan when you are working casual.

    • Of course it comes as no surprise interest rates are now being slashed to almost zero to invigorate the economy.

    • I say boycott the self serves at the grocery store, McDonalds and elsewhere and head for the cashier, catch a taxi, book into a proper hotel and take a holiday in Australia. We need to make a statement.
