Not correct. The reason we have had downward spiralling interest rates is because we have had a government with no plan to grow the economy in real terms. Interest rates have had to keep falling to stimulate the economy. I don't think Labour have been much better when they have had a go in the last 20 years but the Libs have been appalling. The Howard government started this mess when they, along with the RBA had property removed from the CPI calculation, masking the real rate of inflation.
