We had a male cat that had similiar problems only he couldn't stomach that food later, the vet couldn't offer any solutions either. After a little research we started feeding him boiled or cooked chicken, sometimes other meats with rice with a little (tiny) bit of slippery elm bark. Boy, he lived over 20 years. I sometimes went back to that food but I think he got sick of it. You got off lucky a $1,000. I paid over $2k. Just wanted to write in case your cat gets sick of it too.
