So this is my take on it, but if crossbar are so well advanced in commercial capability and scaling retention etc etc then for companies like weebit and to a lesser extent 4ds (because they have a advantage of possible lower scaling) then anyone behind them will have to wonder why crossbar doesnt take the market by storm.

I assume the memory is better than nand because its:
faster
higher endurance
higher retention
higher density on a natural 3d stack as opposed to the V-nand that is currently used
reduced processing steps

As i said weebit would have a bigger issue with this than 4ds would as weebit is filamentary and 4ds is not. However while 4ds could definately scale below that of weebit and crossbar, you have to wonder how much further they can scale down. I find it difficult to see if they can go below the nm scale because i would assume the new problems will be scaling the top and bottom electrodes to fit the new node size. Something i always had assumed why 3d was the way to go.
