I quite agree dargie that US$10 or US$15 is not going to matter too much in the long run.

But as I keep saying I have it on fairly good authority from NZOG that the US$10 figure that I am using and have been given covers production cost, transport cost to refineries and the lease of the FPSO.

Why am I not allowed to state that and have it accepted as a matter of fact ?

If I have been given a figure that is not correct then it is not my fault. But remember I did not make up the figure. I am not "guessing" a figure. The US$10 is one that I was told and which I double checked to see what it covered.

So why shouldn't I stand up for the veracity of the information that I have at my disposal.

It is not a matter of lightening up. It is a case of having what I say accepted as legitimate on the basis that I have been given it as the true figure that NZOG is using, and their view of what it covers.

I appreciate that you may have specialist knowledge that you claim in these areas of company reports but that should not mean that you cannot accept the possibility of others getting information that is legitimate though it may differ from your perceived view of things.

I don't mean to argue with you but I am allowed to stand up for my position without being told to get in behind. If you see that as me " needing to lighten up a little " then I think you need to have another read of what you are expecting me to do.

Can I suggest that it wasn't all that long ago I think you were suggesting (when I originally worked on Gross figures only) that US$95 Gross was a waste of time and a more realistic figure was about US$50 by the time costs were taken off.
Now US$10 is a bit different from your guess of about US$45 costs.

Not meaning to be picky or difficult but I do have the right to set the record straight and defend my position.

I, too, look forward to the results from both NZO and PPP.
I'm sure they are going to be interesting. Perhaps even more interesting will be the moves that are signalled for the direction into the future.

Anyway that is enough defending and jousting for the night I am away to bed while I am still ahead or have a head to lay down on my pillow.
    Cheers dargie
