But here's the thing - NdPr is nearly worthless without DyTb. ausheds thought they would be able to rid the magnets of the DyTb, get it down to a such a lower number as to render them unnecessary, but it was never going to happen. The physics were not in his favor and it was obvious to anyone with a brain. The Chinese are eating the world for breakfast lunch and dinner with their DyTb-NdPr magnets. As long as ANY amount of DyTb(HoGd) is needed to make fully dense high power heavy duty cycle magnets, they were critical. He did not get their criticality. He denied it. He was adamant about that. It was exactly that that got him banned from Jack Lifton's site for being rude.
