    Lynas didn't choose Maaden perhaps?

    According to MPMaterials, they were already creating their own compete supply chain before this announcement.

    Making RE oxides economically and at scale is MP's big problem as far as I understand and they're struggling financially.

    Maaden is a mining company but has no rare earths and no expertise in making magnets. What they do have is money.

    The Saudia Arabian government plans to become a magnetics player.

    Maybe they are going to financially support MP like Japan did Lynas?

    Lynas is planning to complete it's supply chain by partnering with magnet makers in South Korea and Europe, I believe, and isn't looking for a

    financial backer.
