Interesting. Ido agree There are lots of Perm magnets in defense procurement. But to talk about it with out numbers can be misleading. The first F35 was shipped in 2007 The 1000th F35 saw shipped a month ago. So that is about 100 a year. Now I will admit there is about 100 times more PM in an F35 than a car. Last year 1.2M EVs were sold WW. Add Hybrids an P hybrids and. Defense is not even noticeable. Then add Things Like appliances Hand tools and wind. And for me Defense though an important user really does not have a big impact. It is about total volume not how much is in a single unit or how critical it is.
Defense does have a major impact on government & Press Thinking. Volume not so much. .
