Even losers and bullies like the current US administration get it right sometimes.
The US and Oz used to be friends and allies and hopefully that will return after Trump.
In the meantime, in the current transactional relationship, we'll have to insist that the US honours its trade treaty with us and drops these stupid tariffs. On all Australian imports including from Mt Weld.
Otherwise we should put Pine Gap on the table. It's a critical US facility and, in the medium term at least, irreplaceable. How much rent should we be charging? How big are those tariffs again?
