Nice find Lexie
and this from maddingley site dated August 2011 -
"What currently happens at the Maddingley Brown Coal Bacchus Marsh Site?
The Maddingley Brown Coal mine has operated since 1948. The site is used for three activities: mining
coal, as a landfill and for materials recycling. When coal has been excavated, the void is ‘refilled’ using
inert landfill waste (such as building materials)."
What, an already operational Brown coal mine at baccuss?
And from Lexie's post above -
"The Company progressed very positive discussions with Calleja Industries, the owner/operators of the Maddingly open cut coal mine at Bacchus Marsh:
* Potential development of the Bacchus Marsh brown coal deposit"
And now the media are calling Mantle's project maddingley.
Nice fit!
"These results indicate an excellent potential to deliver a robust maiden ... resource at Bacchus Marsh.''
The Maddingley mine at Bacchus Marsh contains a deposit of between 1 billion and 2 billion tonnes of brown coal.
Mantle is a venture with the owners Exergen to develop the deposit.
Exergen's partners include Indian giant Tata Power, Japan's Itochu, Leighton Holdings' Thiess and Queensland engineering firm Sedgman, whose shares also rallied 3.5 per cent this morning."
